EMO Hannover 2025 – The World’s Largest Manufacturing Technology Trade Fair Returns on September 22-26, 2025, in Hannover, Germany
Organized by VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association) in collaboration with the Machine Manufacturers Association, EMO Hannover 2025 will take place from September 22-26, 2025, in Hannover, Germany.
A More Efficient and Purpose-Driven Trade Fair Experience – Shortened Duration
The duration of EMO Hannover 2025 has been reduced from six days to five. Dr. Markus Heering, Managing Director of VDW, stated that this strategic decision aims to make EMO Hannover a more efficient and goal-oriented event.
This decision is based on extensive surveys conducted during the 2023 fair, which revealed that the majority of participants preferred to eliminate Saturday from the schedule. Visitor habits have evolved significantly in recent years—attendees now gather detailed information in advance, plan their visits more effectively, and make faster decisions when necessary. According to the survey, the average visit duration slightly exceeds one day, with international visitors staying slightly longer.
“As a result, Saturday is no longer an attractive day for visits. To align with exhibitor demand, we are removing it from the schedule,” Dr. Heering stated.
The shorter duration will reduce hotel and staffing costs for exhibitors and attendees. Additionally, Deutsche Messe AG has introduced get2fairs, a new package that includes hotel accommodations and transfers to the fair, covering Hannover city center, surrounding areas, and the metropolitan region.
EMO Hannover 2025 – The Global Hub for Production Technology
As the world’s largest trade fair for production technology, EMO Hannover 2025 will take place at the Hannover Exhibition Center. The final day, Friday, September 26, 2025, will remain a full-day event from 09:00 to 18:00.
“We believe this change will provide numerous benefits to both exhibitors and visitors, further enhancing the trade fair experience,” added Dr. Markus Heering.
Digital Registration for EMO Hannover 2025 Now Open
Celebrating its 50th anniversary, EMO Hannover continues to be the premier event for the global metalworking community. Carl Martin Welcker, General Commissioner of EMO, emphasized:
“For half a century, EMO has been bringing the right people together at the right time. In 2025, it will once again be the number-one event for the international metalworking industry.”
Welcker invited manufacturers of metalworking machinery and components to showcase their products, services, and solutions under EMO’s theme of innovative manufacturing, addressing an international audience of trade professionals.

An early registration discount is available until October 15, 2024. The exhibition fee per square meter includes:
