The Board of Directors and the High Advisory Board of the Machine Manufacturers Association – Türkiye (MİB) convened for a joint meeting held at the Istanbul Chamber of Industry on April 24, 2026.

During the meeting, priorities aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the Turkish machinery manufacturing industry were discussed in depth. A wide range of topics from the sector’s expectations from public authorities and challenges in accessing finance to mechanisms for supporting the use of domestic machinery and increasing our international representation were evaluated, and concrete steps to be taken were finalized.

Within this framework, the following key priorities were highlighted:

  • Encouraging the use of domestic machinery in both public and private sector investments;
  • Exploring additional mechanisms to incentivize the use of locally produced machinery and components;
  • Developing measures to meet member expectations regarding access to finance;
  • Conducting activities to more effectively facilitate the utilization of KGF, Eximbank, and İGE opportunities for MİB member companies regarding domestic and international sales;
  • Actively maintaining the initiatives of the Machinery Working Group, established between the Ministry of Industry and Technology and our Association;
  • Strengthening the promotion of the Turkish machinery industry’s strategic production capabilities before the Ministry and relevant public institutions.

Furthermore, significant assessments were made regarding the provision of stronger support for MİB’s international memberships, particularly CECIMO; the coordinated delivery of consultancy services to member firms in areas such as family businesses, digitalization, artificial intelligence, and project management; and the fostering of a more proactive relationship platform to strengthen our companies’ engagements with public authorities.

As MİB, we remain committed to pursuing initiatives that place our members’ needs at the center, generate tangible benefits for our sector, and further elevate the representative power of machinery manufacturing industry of Türkiye.
